Back to School 2017

What an exiting time of year!
New shoes, new backpacks, new school supplies, new classrooms, new teachers and new friends. A time for lots of  NEW things. Each one of the children in our "new" class had an easy transition into the 4 and 5-year-old preschool family. We can't wait to get to know all of these little blessings throughout the school year and to watch each one grow and blossom as a child of God.

Snap-shots of the first few days of school are below. The children spent time exploring the classroom, checking out centers, and finding the centers which sparked their interest.

Over the next few weeks, we will learn our class routine, For example, we will learn when certain centers are open (like Lego and light table), and when we have snack.

During Jesus time, we are learning about how Jesus wants us to treat others and be a good friend. Next week we will be starting at the very beginning of time! Creation!

First Day of School Journals
During the first week or so we will learn about your child by having them create journals (drawings), writing samples, cutting activities, and fine motor centers.

We are also working on writing our names by ourselves and the letters in our name.

Spring? Winter? Spring?

God has given us little hints of spring. According to some in our class, since we had Spring Break, it should be SPRING! Even if it is not ...
